Sensortechnics’ HDO Series Offers Proven
Pressure Sensor Technology in New SMT Housings |
| |
Sensortechnics’
new HDO series is based on proven micromachined silicon elements to
ensure highly stable and reliable pressure measurements. These sensors
offer a wide selection of absolute, differential and gage pressure
ranges from 10 mbar up to 10 bar and feature an excellent
price/performance ratio. The HDO pressure sensors are precision
calibrated and temperature compensated and intended to be used with air
and non-corrosive gases. Innovative SMT housings allow for easy
PCB-mounting and maximum OEM design flexibility. For all HDO sensors
Sensortechnics can provide custom specific pressure ranges and
calibrations on request. Important features of the new HDO series are: -
Pressure ranges from 10 mbar up to 10 bar - Absolute, differential and
gage pressure measurement - Precision calibrated and temperature
compensated - ... |

LSM with 3A Approval for Hygienic Level
Measurement |
| |
With
the level switch LSM, Baumer’s product segment Process
Instrumentation offers a hygienic measuring device available with
different 3A approved process connections. It is especially suitable for
the use in the food and beverage industry. The models LSM021, LSM026 and
LSM031 are 3A approved in combination with a process connection that is
also 3A approved. All wetted parts are made of acid-proof stainless
steel or PEEK thermoplastic respectively. The products fulfil the FDA
demands and follow the EHEDG guidelines regarding design, materials and
finishing. Point level measurement is one of the most common
applications in the food and beverage industry. Regardless of tank size
and type (open or closed) or the cleaning method (manually or by CIP),
the equipment has to be designed for highest possible food safety
standards. ... |

JUMO PCKL - Robust temperature sensor for
air conditioning technology |
| |
The
PCKL temperature sensors from JUMO which have been used for many
years in the industry “air conditioning, heating and ventilation” in the
range from –30 … +105 °C have been further developed. A new, robust
epoxide sealing protects the sensor from environmental influences. It is
resistant against moisture (condensation) as well as mechanical stress
and chemical exposure. Outdoor field tests and the use in greenhouses
showed the highest degree of safety. An advantage is that this sensor
can be used directly in air currents (reaction time t 0.5 = 8.3
seconds). The especially rigid connection clamps allow for a contacting
through plugged contacts. This customer friendly operation mode works
without aids and facilitates a quick and safe exchange of the sensor.
The quadrangular profile of the connection wires guarantees an excellent
direction stability. The temperature sensor is available from stock in
models with the base values Pt100 and Pt1000 and tolerances DIN B as
well as 1/3 DIN B. ... |

Reliable protection on paper-cutting
machines - The SOLID-4cutter Safety Light Curtain |
| |
Leuze:
The blade and paper-holding components in cutting machines are danger
points that must be reliably guarded to protect the operator. A good
solution to protect the operator from injuries when working on the
machine is provided by the SOLID-4cutter, a type 4 Safety Light Curtain
in accordance with IEC/EN 61496 that complies with the specifications of
EN 1010-3. This standard specifies the criteria that a Safety Light
Curtain must meet when used on cutting machines. The SOLID-4cutter
Safety Light Curtains feature various mounting plates, electrical
connection options and different housing colors. They can therefore be
very easily integrated into new cutting systems and are exceptionally
useful in upgrading older cutting systems. SOLID-4cutter Safety Light
Curtains are. ... |

New IFC 100 flow converter for OPTIFLUX
product family |
| |
A
more than economical solution: The IFC 100 is the new signal converter
for KROHNE’s OPTIFLUX product family of electromagnetic flowmeters. IFC
100 is targeted at common applications in the water, food and chemical
industries. The signal converter has a measuring inaccuracy of 0,3% and
will have all required approvals. The IFC 100 offers excellent
performance with an optimum price/performance ratio. This signal
converter has been developed for applications requiring an economical
solution at a high-quality technological level. The extensive
functionality of the previously introduced IFC 300 signal converter
formed the ideal reference point. Diagnosis: The signal converter’s
standard functionality enables diagnosis of the instrument’s
performance, as well as its installation and the process itself. To this
end the IFC 100 includes ... |

Colibrys releases a new generation of
inertial sensors for harsh environment |
| |
|
Colibrys has launched the new MS9000 family of inertial
accelerometers specifically designed for harsh environment and safety
critical applications. This new generation of products comes in a LCC20
(8.9mm x 8.9mm) ceramic package, some three times smaller than current
sensors and in a variety of g ranges from ±2g to ±250g. These sensors
can operate over extended temperature ranges with just a few milli g
bias stability guaranteed over extended lifetime. These high quality
sensors conform to MIL-STD-883-E as typically required by the aerospace,
military and geophysical markets. “These products have already been
qualified by multiple preferred leading edge clients for AHRS, missile
guidance and industrial applications, giving us strong confidence that
the MS9000 is offering extremely competitive performance” commented
Soheil Habibi, Business Development Manager for Inertial Sensing at
Colibrys. ... |

Colibrys extended bandwidth capacitive
vibration sensors to displace piezoresistive technology for HUMS
applications |
| |
The
new Colibrys wide bandwidth capacitive accelerometers set new
performance standards on vibration sensing and are expected to displace
piezoresistive sensors in Health and Usage Monitoring Systems (HUMS),
Aeronautics, Railway technologies and Automotive crash testing
applications. The recognized high performance level of capacitive
sensors, well proven for inertial and seismic applications, is now also
available for vibration sensing. The ever increasing requirements on
vibration sensors in terms of reliability, long term stability, signal
to noise, robustness, size and power can not be met anymore by the
current piezoresistive sensor technology. The new extended bandwidth of
the Colibrys capacitive sensors, combined with a high degree of
miniaturization, make this new product family ideally suited to meet the
increasing requirements of vibration measurement systems. ... |
