New Crank Angle Encoder Set Type 2614A |
| |
Kistler
Instrumente AG: Crank angle encoder set Type 2614A provides the
reference for all measurements related to the crank angle. It is used
wherever this angle is required for calculating combustion analysis
parameters. Crank angle encoder set Type 2614A consists of an angle
encoder and associated separate electronic components: - Speed range 0
... 20 000 1/min - Suitable for cold start measurements - Very robust
and withstands high mechanical loads. The measurements can be taken from
an engine speed of zero. This enables accurate measurement of cold
starting in test vehicles and on low-temperature test stands. The wide
speed range up to 20 000 1/min allows measurements to be taken on high
speed engines also. The crank angle sensor provides a resolution of 0,5°
CA at the LVDS output. The crank angle processor is an option if TTL
signals and additional resolution is required. It provides resolution
down to 0,1° CA and a second angle mark signal with a 1° resolution, for
engine control. ... |

Total recall using In-Sight - Complete
traceability for medical instruments |
| |
|
Cognex: ID technologies that have already proven themselves in
other industries are now opening up previously untapped potential in
hospitals. Potential for both patient safety and cost efficiencies.
Traceability and transparency for instrument management are critical
factors in hospitals and clinics. Ulrich Swiss has developed the Kenus®
system using Cognex In-Sight™ vision systems which has already proven
effective in many clinical practices when it comes to the traceability
of sterile surgical instruments. This is setting new standards in
operating theatre safety, central sterilisation units as well as
administrative efficiency for hospital cost centres. Surgical
instruments - how can hospitals achieve “total recall” ? Like in the
aviation industry, bad publicity for a hospital or clinic as a result of
badly managed procedures must be avoided at all cost. For example, a
hospital administration needs to be able to recall which instrument was
used to operate on which patient even long after the fact in order to be
able to identify the source of any infectious particles. In Europe,
depending on the clinic, ... |

New cable load limiters |
| |
Magtrol
SA, Switzerland, specialist in force measurement, presents a new
range of load limiters. The cable tension sensor of the type SK-02,
based on strain gauges technology, is the ideal sensor for a quick
installation without mechanical modification of the existing
installation. This totally in stainless steel produced sensor is adapted
to cables with a diameter from 8 to 22 mm, and connected to an amplifier
type LMU, is the essential element for the overload controlling of
cranes or other lifting installations. Available in the Magtrol product
range too, the traction sensor type ZL-03 allows the measurement of
suspended load. Designed for the withstanding of long-term dynamic
requests, this sensor represents as well an excellent alternative when
being used in difficult environments. Declined in several versions from
10 to 100 kN, this transducer offers moreover a large overload capacity,
an excellent long-term stability as well as a high precision. These
overload controlling transducers complete favourably the Magtrol
Load-Force-Weight product range, which is already made up of load pins,
load cells, amplifiers and displays. ... |

CCD laser sensors are becoming even
faster |
| |
The
optoNCDT 2200 laser triangulation sensor, Micro-Epsilon’s fastest
in the series to date, will be expanded by a version that is many times
faster. Thanks to a new CCD array, the new optoNCDT 2220 sensor series
now delivers a genuine 20kHz faster measuring rate over the complete
measurement range of each model Therefore, the series is suitable for
measuring extremely fast movement with maximum precision. The resolution
of 0.0015% of the measuring range is consistently achieved for all
models in the range without using an averaging filter. Therefore the
optoNCDT achieves a resolution of 0.03µm for 2mm of measuring area and
does this for each measurement pulse. The range comprises seven sensor
models with various measuring ranges between 2mm and 200mm. Each model
uses Micro-Epsilon’s unique “Real-Time Surface Compensation (RTSC)”
technique corrects the variable reflection characteristics in the same
measuring cycle. This means the sensors can be used to deliver extremely
precise measurement results, regardless of the type of target surface.
Due to the new CCD array, the sensor is ... |

Industrial tilt measuring systems -
NM1/NM2 – Measure angles accurately even with EX-protection |
| |
With
its NM1/NM2 series of tilt measuring systems ALTHen GmbH Mess-
und Sensortechnik – the specialist for electrical measurement of
mechanical values – presents highly-stable inclinometers for 1 or 2 axes
that are designed for industrial applications. These extremely sturdy,
durable and wear-free devices are especially suited for use in rough
industrial environments. The NM1/NM2 are used where the inclination of
objects needs to be measured and controlled with particular accuracy.
Areas of application range from fire brigade vehicles and platforms on
to earth-moving devices and construction vehicles, industrial cranes,
ship loading cranes, antenna systems, industrial robots and remote
controllable vehicles and right down to stage technology. Such systems
often serve to ensure the safety of persons and plant sections and are
therefore a requirement for the operating license of complete systems.

JUMO DELOS - Electronic pressure switch
with display |
| |
The
new electronic pressure switch JUMO DELOS is a true multi-talent
with switching contacts, analog output and a brilliant LC display for
the visualisation of the current process pressure and the condition of
the switching contact. Thanks to the use of valuable stainless steel and
flush-mounted measuring systems without sealings, it is also well
suitable for the use in hygienically sensitive areas. Different sensor
systems which have proven themselves in practice for years and in large
numbers as well as the use of the most modern production technologies,
valuable components and materials ensure a high degree of safety.
Optionally there is a model with a SIL 2 authorisation. Through the high
variance, the user receives a maximum of functionality, efficiency and
flexibility at a fair price. ... |

New high-pressure transmitter breaks the
10,000 bar barrier |
| |
With
the HP-2 WIKA introduces a new high-pressure transmitter that
can, for the first time, offer pressure ranges up to 15,000 bar
(previously 8,000 bar was the limit). At the same time, the long-term
stability and the load cycle stability has been further improved. With
the HP-2 the user gets precise results even at highest pressures, but
also gets a simultaneous reduction in running costs. Because of the
extremely good long-term stability the usually short calibration cycles
for high pressure ranges are stretched, and the downtime of the plant is
reduced accordingly. The high load cycle stability ensures a very long
service life of the unit. As a further feature, especially for highly
dynamic pressure profiles, WIKA has developed a special cavitation
protection, which leads to the long operating life of the HP-2 even in
demanding applications. All-in-all, the new HP-2, more compact than its
predecessor, is more economical thanks to its reliability, its longer
calibration cycles and. ... |
