New HCL Miniature Low Pressure Sensors
for Ultra Stable and Accurate Measurements |
| |
Sensortechnics
new HCL pressure sensors measure low gage or differential pressures from
5 … 75 mbar. These devices are precision calibrated and temperature
compensated and offer ratiometric mV output signals. They use a special
compensation technology to achieve a very high offset stability and
virtually no position sensitivity in comparison to conventional sensors.
The HCL pressure sensors feature a high input resistance and are ideal
for portable device applications. A wide range of miniature SMT, single
inline (SIP) and dual inline (DIP) housing options allow for
space-saving PCB-mounting and maximum OEM design flexibility.
Sensortechnics can provide very fast and flexible HCL sensor
modifications based on customer specific requirements. Important
features of the new HCL series are: ... |

Melt pressure transmitter with 4 – 20mA
signal and CANopen |
| |
The
highly successful JUMO 4 ADM-35 series from JUMO GmbH & Co. KG,
Fulda, Germany, can now also be supplied with pre-amplified output
signals, and as a mercury-free version. Melt pressure transmitters are
used in the plastics industry and in process engineering, mainly for
acquiring pressure in liquid and pasty materials in extrusion plants.
These applications demand transmitters that are especially rugged.
Accordingly, they are suitable for ranges from 50 to 2000 bar, and for
media temperatures up to 480°C. New output signals: Up to now, melt
pressure transmitters have commonly been used with a 2mV/V or 3.3mV/V
output signal. However, this requires either special signal inputs or an
additional instrument amplifier for conversion to a standard signal on
the control side. But, thanks to the new electronics, melt pressure
transmitters from JUMO are now also available with a standard analog 4 –
20mA signal or a digital CANopen signal. As a result, the sensors ... |

| |
Sensortechnics
new KTE8000CS submersible pressure transmitters offer precision
hydrostatic level measurement for pressure ranges from 2.5 m water
column (250 mbar). The KTE8000CS series is based on very accurate and
long-term stable ceramic pressure cells with excellent media
compatibility. The sensors are enclosed in glass reinforced PPS (Polyphenylene
Sulfide) plastic housings and are ideally suited for use with corrosive
and aggressive media. The KTE8000CS series offers very competitive

Precision, 100pT Resolution Magnetometer |
| |
|
Fluxgate World: The A6320 precision, three-channel magnetometer
accepts different fluxgate sensing heads and each channel can operate in
direct or differential mode. Currently available heads include a single
fluxgate for direct measurement of magnetic field strength and a twin,
2m separation head for differential measurement. Direct mode operation
allows field measurement for a broad range of scientific and engineering
applications such as checking for flux leakage, stray flux and residual
fields. The differential mode allows background fields to be cancelled
out and the gain increased to detect very small anomalies in the field.
This is of particular use in geophysical surveying and as a method of
detecting the presence of objects that disrupt the background magnetic
field. Sensor heads are available to measure fields up to 16mT. Custom
software is included for the display of readings on a standard PC or
laptop. The instrument is powered by either 12V battery or 230V mains. .

Precision Inclinometer gives 0.2 arcsec
resolution |
| |
Fluxgate
World: The A6410 precision 2-channel inclinometer uses patented
sensor heads - either single axis or twin-orthogonal axis versions.
These can be left in situ with the instrument connected only when
readings are needed, allowing a single instrument to be used with
several sensor heads. The 0.2 arcsec resolution over the ±5° range of
