Manner Sensortelemetrie has developed a multi-channel telemetry
amplifier with integrated data logger especially for dynamic torque
measurement applications. The feature is that both energy and acquired
data are transmitted inductively between telemetry amplifier and stator
only at one angular position (Spot mode). Therefor the necessity of
surrounding the shaft with a rotor induction loop is omitted. This kind
of transmission is advantageous for dynamic measurement applications at
the piston, the con-rod or the crankshaft. The system is capable for
acceleration up to 20,000 g and a temperature range up to 150°C. While
the short time of connection of stator and rotor antenna at one angular
position the energy collector at the rotating part is loaded rapidly. It
serves the sensor signal amplifier during the whole revolution of the
crankshaft. Meanwhile the acquired data are stored into the integrated

range of level probes, which is particularly suited for use in corrosive
media. This level probe is the preferred choice for the hydrostatic
measurement of levels in liquids. Its capacitive ceramic sensor is
distinguished by good long-term stability and accuracy, even over small
measurement ranges up to about a 50cm filling level. Furthermore, the
aluminium oxide ceramic that is used is 99.9% pure, and has a
particularly high chemical resistance to many corrosive substances, such
as acids, industrial effluent, electroplating baths and the like. The

Sensortelemetrie developed a new very compact, high-precision torque
sensor with telemetric transmission on digital basis with 16 bits
resolution. The main applications are in high qualified test rigs. The
torque sensing is based on the very accurate strain gages technology.
The typical accuracy (linearity and hysteresis) is of 0,05%. Special
features are the short length, high stiffness, no bearing and small
signal pick up with air gap up to 20 mm. A very small temperature drift
within the temperature range of –35 to +125°C and a very high total
accuracy of up to 0,1% FSO is characteristic. The mounting dimension of
a 1kNm torque measuring flange is 45 mm. Therefore the flange can easily
be integrated into an existing system. Flanges are available from 20 Nm

applications. The FlexTemp 2301 is a temperature transmitter for Pt100
sensors measuring with an accuracy of only 0.25°C tolerance range. With
the universal FlexTop versions 2311 and 2321, the input can be
configured for RTD sensors as well as for thermocouples, resistance
