New piston detector more powerful now |
| |
|
The non-contacting piston detector SONOCONTROL 14 works with new hard-
and software more effectively now. The piston detector by SONOTEC
recognizes the position of a piston in hydraulic cylinders through the
cylinder wall, by using ultrasound. Because of a new method of analyzing
and the possibility to adjust the resolution and deceleration of the
scan time, the measurement range enlarges. |
|
|
The compact sensor recognizes independently, when the next impulse has
to occur. An interfere of the signals is prevented. The installation and
the adjustment are easy. The user has only to feed the application with
the inner diameter of the piston. The powerful performance of the sensor
is the result of the new hard- and software technology. The operating
voltage amounts 18 … 30 VDC. The sensor recognizes the position of the
piston by a piston temperature from –20 … +85°C. The SONOCONTROL 14 is
available as IP67 version and the version for Ex-zones on inquiry, too. ... |

Non-destructive testing of materials |
| |
The ultrasonic probes for the non-destructive testing of materials of
the product range SONOSCAN by SONOTEC test different materials,
metals and plastics for cracks, leakages and entrapments and measure
filling levels, distances and passages of solid materials and liquids.
The precise ultrasonic probes are developed and manufactured
customer-made, application orientated and in dependence on the solution
of the measurement technique. The development and manufacture of the
probes of the non-destructive testing of materials result from an
analysis of the requests of the measurement technique and the parameters
of the operating field. The customer accompanies the process. The
ultrasonic probes operate with a high-performance ultrasonic transducer,
this is adapted to the existing process-, control- and automation
electronics. The ultrasonic probes achieve excellent measurement results
with the pulse testing and the Doppler testing. The pulse testing means
that the ultrasonic transducer emanates ultrasonic signals and receives
the signals after the reflection. ...

30 Years Crash Barriers of Kistler |
| |
|
30 years have gone by since Kistler commissioned the first
instrumented crash barrier. It has seen many thousands of crash tests
and is still providing reliable measurements today. The world’s leading
automobile manufacturers put their trust in measuring instrumentation
from Kistler – in its accuracy, modularity and service life backed up by
reliable worldwide service. |
|
|
Crash measurement technology has evolved in several aspects at a fast
pace since this first system was brought into operation. National and
international standards have been created – for 100% frontal and offset
crashes, or rear or side impact with crash trolleys. Kistler has
developed the right solution for all applications and adapted it as
necessary for each customer. The 30-year-old sensors are not out dated,
as piezoelectric measurement remains the high tech alternative and
superior to all other dynamic force measurement techniques. The only
difference is that the integration of cutting edge electronics has
increased convenience and reliability. Kistler is the one and only
provider of crash measurement systems ... |

Leakage detection with ultrasound |
| |
|
The SONAPHONE ultrasound leakage detectors by SONOTEC recognize
fast, reliable and reasonably priced leaks and small leakages and help
so to prevent damages in compressed-air systems, vacuum systems, plants
and pipelines at concealed places and to save costs. Leaks and smallest
leakages generate, because of the internal friction, sounds in the level
of the ultrasonic wave frequency, out of the human hearing threshold
level. |
|
|
Because of special ultrasound sensors can the SONAPHONE leakage
detectors “hear” these sounds. The sounds are received and converted
into electrical and acoustical signals. Because of the connectable sound
absorbing headphones and the built-in loudspeaker, it is possible to
hear the converted sounds, even in a high noise level of the
environment. The LCD-display shows the value of the intensity of
ultrasound. The ultrasound leakage detectors don’t only served to detect
leaks in plants, systems and pipelines, but also to inspect the
leakproofness of ... |

4B M100 STOPSWITCH |
| |
|
The M100 stopswitch is a low cost, maintenance free, non-contact speed
monitor for detecting stopped conditions for rotating machinery. The
stopswitch incorporates a 4 second start-up delay and stopped detection
output with 2 LED status indicators and accepts12 to 240 VDC / 24 to 240
VAC supply. |
|
|
Installation is made easy with the benefit of a “2 wire” connection, the
load being connected in either supply wire. The unit is totally
encapsulated to IP67 requirements. CSA approved for Class II, Division
1, Groups E, F and G hazardous locations ... |

SCHMIDT® Flow Sensor SS 20.60 FB /
High-speed sensor with 200 m/s ( 39.370 sfpm) |
| |
 |
SCHMIDT has brought to market a new generation of the well-proven
family of air and gas flow sensors SS 20.60 with very special
properties: Measuring range 200 m/s, turn-down ratio 1 to 1000,
calibration accuracy 1 % of measuring value, sensor tip with high media
resistance, available with analog interface or Profibus-DP or Device-Net
interface. |
|
|
The high precision and extreme turn-down ratio could be achieved due to
an improved electronic design and the new and unique SCHMIDT pressure
wind tunnel. The modular concept allows to select between analog
interface or field bus interface. The sensor with filed bus interface
delivers ready prepared measuring values like Kg/hr or m3/min and thus
disburdens the supervising PLC. Additionally the sensor gives access to
it´s status information and allows the PLC to inform the user about
defects of the sensor. Despite of the enhanced electronic and additional
connectors the size of the sensor remained very compact and makes this
sensor to one of the most compact flow sensor on the market. The new
sensor is available from now on. ... |
