Potentiometer with
heating |
| |
 |
Frequent and
rapid changes in temperatures mostly are the reason for mechanical
stress which may cause different extensions of the material. Due to fast
declining temperatures systems and components are target of condensation.
Consequently leakage current, short-circuit or total failure occur.
|
|
|
In order to avoid condensation and freezing of the sensor can be protected by a
hermetic barrier. Usually absolutely sealed systems may not be achieved
by this method, because one of the characteristic of plastic is the
permeation. Metallux solves this problem of diffusion by a
controlled micro climate control of the system with heating. |

Batch weighing controlled
through touch-screen technology |
| |
 |
Applied Measurements Ltd was asked to design a batch weighing
system where the ingredients of each batch would constantly vary. To
weigh the batches into the barrels AML built a stainless steel weighing
platform incorporating load cells to the specific size required by the
customer. |
|
|
As the barrels could be dropped on to the weighing platform, positive
overload stops were included to protect the load cells.
The output signal from the weighing platform is fed into a digital
display, which has two set point relays... |

MORES® in Match-X-Package |
| |
 |
Developed at CiS Institute, the micro-optical emitter-receiver
sensor module MORES is now available as a Match-X model. This new
standardized version complements such existing designs as the plug-in
for the measurement of vital parameters. |
|
|
Featuring harmonized interfaces, the modular components allow for the
efficient fusion of sensor signal processing elements to produce complex
modular micro-systems. All components feature harmonized interfaces, e.g.
geometric, electric, fluidic. |

Pressure Sensor with
Excellent Media Compatibility for Use in Extreme Temperature Conditions |
| |
|
Sensortechnics' piezoresistive 40PC series from Honeywell now
offers gauge
pressure measurement in a wide pressure range from 50 mm Hg to 500 psi
(67 mbar to 35 bar). The sensors feature a 0.5…4.5 V amplified output
signal
providing a direct interface to an A/D input on a controller. |
|
|
The 40PC is built in a miniature 6-pin DIP package which saves critical
board space and can be easily mounted. The fully calibrated and
temperature compensated sensor is very robust, covering a wide range of
temperature extremes from –45…125 °C. Additionally, the 40PC series is
compatible with a broad array of gaseous and liquid media, from dry air
and water to refrigerant coolants, engine fuel and oil. |

Handheld for
Air Velocity and Temperature - VELOPORT 20 Series |
| |
|
Portable air velocity and temperature measurements in
HVAC installations, ventilation ducts and clean rooms can be done easily
with the new VELOPORT handheld series from E+E Elektronik.
VELOPORT series are ideal for checking the operation of HVAC systems and
of stationary air velocity and temperature measuring devices. |
Based on an E+E hot film anemometer sensing element,
VELOPORT 20 provides high accuracy even for air speed lower than 0.5m/s
(100ft/min). Due to very small diameter (6mm = 0.2”) of the stainless
steel sensing probe VELOPORT 20 can be employed for measurements at
narrow locations. |
