developed a ceramic coating wikaramic® for its metal flush or threaded
diaphragm seals. The coated flush diaphragm provides a high abrasion
resistance and thus protects the sensitive diaphragm from scouring and
prevents it from being worn down quickly. The wikaramic® coating can
greatly increase the life span of the pressure measuring device. Thus

LED displays the German manufacturer PREMA Semiconductor GmbH has
designed a new 10-channel LED driver. The PR4010 drives up to 10 LEDs of
any color individually. For more LEDs several PR4010 can be cascaded and
programmed via one serial interface. In this way it is possible to drive
for example 75 LEDs of a mulitplexed 15x5 dot matrix display with only
two PR4010 and five additional transistors. Each of the 10 LED driver
outputs is a current sink for up to 10mA. The serial interface with
latched input allows individual programming of each LED channel by an
external microcontroller. The current variation between the LED channels
does not exceed ±5% and thus a very uniform control of the LEDs is
guaranteed. The LED current resp. the brightness for all LEDs is set by
an external resistor. Additionally it can be varied through a PWM signal
at the „blank“ input, which allows ON / OFF control for all channels

include additional affordable variants. The previously presented ODSL 8
with teach-in function in a format of just 38 x 48 x 15 mm is now also
available with a resolution of 0.03 mm and a measurement range of 25 to
45 mm. Alongside its high resolution, a repeat accuracy of 0.2 % is
fundamental to its object measurement precision. Equipped with an
analogue current or voltage output, the ODSL 8 offers scope for simple
link-up to different evaluation units and control systems. The sensor is
also fitted with two push-pull switching outputs for precise object
recognition. A user-friendly rotary switch at the device permits simple
teach-in of the analogue output operating range of 1-10 V or 4-20 mA,

temperatures on tubing systems and other rounded surfaces. Because
measurement is indirect, the flow characteristics of the medium in the
