1 – the microprocessor-controlled digital pressure peak gauge from
KELLER AG für Druckmesstechnik – polls the value for the pressure
variable in a process 5000 times each second. The result: reliable
detection of the dreaded pressure peaks – often of extremely short
duration – due to fast-switching hydraulic valves, pump units and other
causes. This means that prompt action can be taken to prevent damage due
to cavitation, etc. The dual digital display updates the measured value
and the minimum or maximum value attained twice every second. In the
compensated temperature range from 0 to 50 °C, typical overall accuracy
is 0,2 %FS (Full Scale). In addition, the LEO 1 from KELLER offers a
feature that is especially useful in practice: each current measured
value can be defined as the reference, simply by pressing a button. When
this is done, the digital manometer no longer shows the actual value but
the deviations from the specified setpoint instead. With just two keys,
the user can parameterise all the functions on the peak value manometer |

New FAST way to increased accuracy of the
Optidew Cooled Mirror Hygrometer |

instruments has developed a new technology to increase the accuracy
and reliability of their cooled mirror instruments. The Frost Assurance
System Technology (FAST) works by ensuring that, for temperatures below
0°C, the ‘dew point’ reading is always taken from the formation of ice
crystals, rather than water droplets. The new system is now being
incorporated into the Optidew range of cooled mirror instruments.
Although these hygrometers are already highly accurate, being able to
give moisture readings down to a level of -40°Cdp, some applications
need even higher levels of accuracy. Water doesn’t always freeze at 0°C
– in some circumstances super-cooled water can exist at much lower
temperatures. This can be caused by contaminants in the gas being tested
for moisture, or even build up of residue on the cooled mirror surface.
Super-cooled water condenses at a slightly different temperature to
‘normal’ ice formation, and the errors involved are typically equal to

designed for dynamic measurement problems. With a measuring rate of 5kHz
it is suited for numbers of applications in the filed of test
engineering. Quantities to be measured are voltage, current, strain
gauge full and halfbridge, piezosresistive sensors as well as ICP
sensors can be connected. The fast module e.bloxx operates with TEDS
sensors based on standard IEEE 1451.3/4. This information is used to
setup the module with the connected sensor. The configuration of the
module is overwritten with the TEDS data. This information is
transferred to the test controller (e. g. e.gate). The benefit of TEDS
is that it reduces the setup time, reduces human error and increases the

The ICT050 provides reliable, fit-and-forget position sensing of the

virtually infinite resolution and is capable of withstanding
temperatures up to 200°C and working pressures up to 500Bar. The new
